Air-fried garlic mushrooms

  1. Prep the Mushrooms:
    • Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth or paper towel. It’s best not to wash them with water as they can absorb it and become soggy.
    • If the mushrooms are large, cut them in half or quarters to ensure even cooking.
  2. Season:
    • In a large bowl, combine the mushrooms with olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme or rosemary, salt, and pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
  3. Air Fry:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
    • Transfer the seasoned mushrooms to the air fryer basket. Spread them out into a single layer; this might need to be done in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the mushrooms are golden brown and crispy. The exact cooking time will depend on your air fryer model and the size of the mushrooms.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • Once cooked, transfer the garlic mushrooms to a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
    • Serve immediately as a side dish or as a delicious topping for steaks, burgers, or grilled chicken.

Tips:

  • Avoid Overcrowding: For the best results, make sure the mushrooms aren’t overcrowded in the air fryer basket. They should be in a single layer to ensure they cook evenly and get crispy.
  • Adjust Seasonings: Feel free to customize the seasonings according to your preferences. Adding a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving can add extra flavor.
  • Serving Suggestions: These air-fried garlic mushrooms make a great side dish but can also be an excellent addition to salads, pasta, or as a topping for pizzas.

Enjoy your air-fried garlic mushrooms, a quick and healthy way to enjoy the delicious flavors of mushrooms with minimal effort!
